چکیده
Abstract In this work, the problem of brittle fracture in a fluid‐saturated porous material is extended by considering non‐isothermal states sample. The temperature field will affect two aspects: 1) Temperature‐dependent parameters, such as elasticity modulus (E) and critical energy release rate (Gc). 2) Thermal expansion due to thermo‐mechanical volume coupling. hydraulic fracturing, we further study effect difference between injected fluid surrounding media ambient on crack behavior. modeling domain based macroscopic theory (TPM), whereas phase‐field method (PFM) applied approximate sharp edges diffusive ones. numerical implementation, coupled system partial differential equations be solved using FEM order simulate heat transition non‐crack regions.

modeling of hydraulic fracture problem in partially saturated porous media using cohesive zone model
in this paper, a finite element model is developed for the fully hydro-mechanical analysis of hydraulic fracturing in partially saturated porous media. the model is derived from the framework of generalized biot theory. the fracture propagation is governed by a cohesive fracture model. the flow within the fracture zone is modeled by the lubrication equation. the displacement of solid phase, and...
متن کاملImage-Based Modeling of Granular Porous Media
We propose a new method of modeling granular media that utilizes a single twoor three-dimensional image and is formulated based on a Markov process. The process is mapped onto one that minimizes the difference between the image and a stochastic realization of the granular medium, and utilizes a novel approach to remove possible unphysical discontinuities in the realization. Quantitative compari...
متن کاملStudy on Flow in Fractured Porous Media Using Pore-Fracture Network Modeling
Microscopic flow in fractured porous media is a typical problem for the exploitation of tight reservoirs. The rapid-flow in the fractured porous-media is of great significance to efficient and continuous oil/gas exploitation. The fractures are expected to enhance flow conductivity and mass transfer between matrix and fractures, and to improve oil displacement during water flooding. However, the...
متن کاملA physically based approach for modeling multiphase fracture–matrix interaction in fractured porous media
A physically based numerical approach is presented for modeling fracture–matrix interaction, which is a key issue for fractured reservoir simulation. Commonly used mathematical models for dealing with such interactions employ a dualor multiple-continuum concept, in which fractures and matrix are represented as overlapping, different, but interconnected continua, described by parallel sets of co...
متن کاملModeling Foamy Oil Flow in Porous Media
Certain heavy oils which foam under severe depressurization give rise to increased recovery factor and an increased rate of production under solution gas drive. These oils not only stabilize foam, but also stabilize dispersion of gas bubbles at lower volume ratios. The way this phenomenon is related to the chemistry of the oil and its viscosity is presently not understood. We present here a mat...
